Poinsettia Fundraiser

The last day for ordering poinsettias was November 19th. Plants will be picked up at Boone on Saturday, December 6th 9am - noon.

Travel Forms

Each person that wants to go on the band trip to Tampa in April must turn in the payment agreement by December 1, 2008.

Congratulations to the Band

The Sound of the Braves performed at the Colonial Marching Festival on Nov 8th and received Straight Superiors in all Captions. Also, congratulations go out to our students who were selected to the All-State and All-County bands. Read more

Winter Concert

The Winter Concert will be December 9th at 7:00 in the auditorium. Each of our ensembles, Jazz Ensemble, Concert Band, Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble, will perform at this concert.

Universal Parades

The band will participate in the parades at Universal Studios on Sunday, December 7th and Wednesday December 17th. On the Wednesday, the students will leave early from school and spend half a day in the park before marching in the parade. Each student will receive a free ticket for each parade they attend. Each chaperone will also receive a free ticket for each parade he/she attends. In the past two years, parents have been asked to help hold the Macy’s Balloons during the parade, and had a lot of fun doing it.
