Dear Sound of the Braves Family,

We are happy to announce that after careful consideration and interviewing, a new band director has been selected for Boone High School. Mr. Michael Butler has accepted our offer to serve as the new director of bands. Mr. Butler will begin immediately to meet with band/parent leadership, review our current inventory, and also assist in the selection of a new associate director of bands/percussion specialist. His top priorities will include preparation for upcoming band camp and marching season including show design and music selection. Please join us in welcoming him to the Reservation by stopping by the band room next Tuesday evening (July 7) from 6-7pm to meet our new director. Thank you for your patience and support throughout this important process.

Student Accounts

All students who will be a part of the band for the 2009-2010 school year need to make sure their Charms account is up to date with the latest contact information for themselves and their parents. New accounts will be created for incoming freshman. Charms is a web-based system, and each student needs an id/password to access their account. Please contact David Dittmer at bandnews@bellsouth.net for students ids and other questions about Charms.
